On Saturday, June 30, 2018, brothers of the Ann Arbor-Ypsilanti-Inkster Alumni chapter gathered to fellowship with one another and share in good conversation. The chapter would like to convey a special appreciation to Brother Tim Lipkin and his Silhouette for hosting a Brotherhood gathering at his residence. Plenty of good food, conversation and just hanging with the NUPES. Three of our 50 year Brothers attended. Our chapter is unique and special and we always welcome any brothers to return to Kappa!
Friends, family, everyone…you’re invited to come out and enjoy some wings with the lovely Silhouettes of the Ann Arbor-Ypsilanti-Inkster Alumni and the Kappas. Over many years, the Silhouettes have assisted us in providing scholarships for our youth.
The Silhouettes are sponsoring another Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant fundraiser on May 18, 2018, 216 James L Hart Pkwy #1, Ypsilanti, MI 48197. The attached flyer must be shown [electronically or via hardcopy] to secure 20% of both dine-in and carryout sales. If the total sales of our group reach $2,000 for the day, BWW will return 25%; and at $3,000 in total sales, they will return 30%! The proceeds will help to support our contribution to the Kappa scholarship fund.
As in the past, we will have a reserved area from 5 PM until close. Attend between the hours of 2 to 6 PM for Happy Hour specials.
Show your support of the AAYI Kappa Chapter by attending this event and sharing the flyer to help the Silhouettes achieve our goal of making this event a huge success.
Brother Kyle Bell, in conjunction with the Kappa Foundation, rented a theater at the Emagine Canton movie theater for a private viewing of the block buster Marvel movie “The Avengers” on Saturday, May 5, 2018. The 87 seat theater was sold out. Not only did the Brothers and their families and friends attend this event Brother Bell was able to donate tickets to Big Brothers Big Sisters and to the Kappa Leaguers. This movie has broken an all time record as the fasting grossing one billion dollars movie of all times.
Through the efforts of those who attended the movie and those who made financial contributions this endeavor provide approximately $1,100.00 for scholarships to the Foundation, provided an opportunity for youths and parents, that could not afford a ticket, to view the movie, and just a great Saturday afternoon at the movies for the Brothers.
Thank you Brother Bell, the Kappa Foundation, and the Brothers that contributed. These scholarship opportunities are critical and we are making a difference one scholarship at a time.
