One’s health is extremely important and the Ann Arbor-Ypsilanti-Inkster Alumni chapter recognizes that health education is beneficial to everyone. Being aware of the best health practices will lead to longevity of life and prosperous health.
All men in the community are welcome to join us our Saturday, November 12, 2016 for a free men’s fellowship breakfast and health summit. The event will be held at the Washtenaw Community College Morris Lawrence Building, 4800 E. Huron River Dr., Ann Arbor, MI 48105. The event, which will begin with a hot breakfast at 8:30 AM, will include featured presentations from 9 to 11:30 AM. Bring a friend!

On Sunday, October 23, 2016, the Ann Arbor-Ypsilanti-Inkster Alumni brothers visited Bethel A.M.E. Church in Ann Arbor to support Brother Rev. Gerald Caldwell. Bro. Caldwell was the guest preacher and his sermon entitled “One More River to Cross” was uplifting and inspirational. Brother Caldwell recognized the members of the AAYI during his preaching calling most of us by name. It was a good Sunday at Bethel A.M.E.
Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and the National Society of Black Engineers have established a partnership to dramatically increase the number of black engineers produced annually in the United States.

The 2016 Northern Province C. Rodger Wilson Leadership Conference was sponsored by the Ann Arbor-Ypsilanti-Inkster Alumni, Delta Nu, and Sigma Chapters on October 7-8, 2016 in Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti, MI.
On Friday, the event started with dinner and a town hall with the current and past Province Polemarchs. Province Polemarch Kevin Kyles shared our 33rd Grand Polemarch’s vision and key initiatives. Team building activities and discussions were led by CRWLC Chairman Gregory S. Thomas.
On Saturday, brothers attended various leadership development workshops in the following areas: Operational Leadership, Personal Finance – Credit, Branding, and Leadership in a Digital Age. In addition, brothers received training and certification in the MTA Program. Senior Province Polemarch Michael Kinloch presented information on chapter program documentation. Brother Maurice S. Henderson presented the workshop on Operational Leadership along with co-presenter Brother Christopher Griffey (Delta Pi).
Brothers were excited about the presence of Grand Polemarch Thomas L. Battles. Polemarch Battles provided an extensive update on the status of the Fraternity and key initiatives that are in progress. His leadership and genuine sense of brotherhood resonated during his presentation to the brothers in attendance.
The entire conference was informational and inspirational. Great job and congratulations to Conference Chairman Brother Phil Anderson was coordinated a fabulous event.
