Brothers:
Once again we pause to pay special attention to Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We join with our Silhouettes and members of the sororities of the “Divine Nine” as we continue to recognize the effects of breast cancer on thousands of women (and men). We remember relatives and friends whose lives were ended because of this disease, and empathize with those who are survivors, as they continue their journey with various treatment and levels of remission. We honor those who offer active support to breast cancer survivors, and those who consistently ask God’s intercession in the lives of those affected by this disease and their families.
As we participate in activities during this Breast Cancer Awareness Month, let us continue to recognize that the need for support continues throughout the year, and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity should always remain in the forefront of prayer warriors and proactive participants in meeting the needs of our people, wherever they are and whatever their circumstances.
Be a part of a support group that gives comfort to those who are affected physically and emotionally by the effects of breast cancer. Remind them that cancer is not necessarily the end of life, but another thing that God allows to happen in our lives. Remind them that God has caused many cancer victims to be in permanent submission, and enabled many more to live active, productive lives. We can learn more about this as we read the literature on breast cancer, and share the literature with our families and friends.
