On behalf of the Turkey Donation committee, want to give a big “thanks” to all the brothers (and Kappa Leaguers) that supported our turkey donation gift baskets to Starfish Family Services this past Saturday.
Because of your donations, we were able to provide food-insecure families with Thanksgiving meals.
Although the weather was cold, we had almost 30 brothers in the chapter come out and work together as a team picking up, setting up, boxing the baskets, and placing the baskets in the trunks of the family’s cars.
In addition to providing a turkey (15-18 lb.), each gift basket also included two boxes of cornbread stuffing, two boxes of macaroni and cheese, a bag of rolls, a can of string beans, and a can of corn.
We also exceeded our initial goal of 50 baskets and delivered a whopping 75!
