On Saturday, June 15, 2024, in conjunction with the Kappa Foundation, the Ann Arbor-Ypsilanti-Inkster Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. hosted our annual Scholarship Luncheon.
The Kappa Foundation awards scholarships to students based on high school achievement while also acknowledging the unique needs of applicants. The AAYI Alumni Chapter and the Foundation have awarded over $400,000 in scholarships since the inception of the program in 1978. Scholarships are awarded to male and female applicants from the Ypsilanti, Ann Arbor, and Inkster areas, including Canton, Salem, and Plymouth. Donations from members, corporate sponsors, and a variety of chapter and foundation co-sponsored activities raise funds for this endeavor. One such event is the Kappa Foundation’s signature event, Women of Achievement (2024 WoA update forthcoming).
In 2024, the Foundation awarded twenty-four $1,000 scholarships to outstanding high school students in addition to two undergraduate Kappa brothers from the University of Michigan (Sigma chapter) and Eastern Michigan University (Delta Nu chapter). Congratulations to the awardees listed below! We are now accepting donations for next year’s scholarship program. To contribute, please click on this link for the Kappa Foundation.
