The Ann Arbor-Ypsilanti-Inkster Alumni Chapter participated in the Feed the Literacy Program at the Ypsilanti District Library for the Prime Time Reading Program on September 12, 2016. Families of children between ages of 3 – 10 participate in an interactive program that works towards improving childhood literacy. The Ypsilanti District Library works with the Michigan Humanities Council as a part of this program.
The chapter’s participation was arranged by Brother Stafford Watts. He coordinated this endeavor and ensured enough food was available to feed the families. The menu included two different kinds of pizza, salad, and brownies. The other brothers would volunteered in this worthwhile program were as follows: Phil Anderson, Kyle Bell, Bill Henderson, Greg Henderson, Errol Jackson, Javar Jackson, Hollis Jordan, Darron Merritt, Lawrence Smith, and Michael White.
