Special thanks to Brothers Norm Howard, Darryl Campbell, Roger Doster, and Hollis Jordan for making our First Annual African-American Men’s Health Summit such a huge success. The event was held on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the University of Michigan in partnership with the University of Michigan Health System Program for Multicultural Health and Grace Fellowship Church.
The event was designed to: 1. Raise awareness of health issues facing men; 2. Provide information on disease prevention, early detection and treatment options; 3. report outcomes of health needs survey; 4. Establish a plan for future community health education workshops; and, 5. Identify and recruit community health advocates.
