One out of every three African-Americans males will be incarcerated during their lifetime. How long will Americans tolerate a dual justice system? We cannot afford to ignore this catastrophic growth in incarceration! Sadly, the incarceration rate for African-American females is spiraling rapidly. It is both unjust and unfair to future generations of African Americans for us to allow this unchecked aggression to continue. We are asking organizations throughout southeastern Michigan to join the mass incarceration/criminal justice reform campaign, Project Fifty-Fifty.
This half-day forum addresses the massive incarceration/criminal justice system forced upon African American families.
